Madison McNary

Madison McNary is a freelance sports photographer who resides in Omaha, Nebraska. McNary graduated from Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and a minor in Theatre. In 2017, she obtained her Juris Doctor from Creighton School of Law. 

Madison has always had a passion for photography. Her older sister, Lauren, is partly responsible for cultivating that passion. She vividly remembers Polaroids around the house. Polaroids, everywhere. She was specifically fascinated at a camera's ability to freeze time and preserve memories.

Unfortunately, for quite some time, McNary never had the freedom to develop her skills in sports photography because she was always the athlete on the other end of the lens - as a sprinter for Ohio State University. 

Fast forward to 2020, McNary picked up a camera as a way to decompress from her day job as a lawyer. In her down time, she constantly found herself on the sidelines of various sporting events taking photographs- which ultimately inspired her Instagram handle: @sidelinesnapshots. 

She has been afforded the opportunity to collaborate with college, high school, and grade school athletes - all over the Midwest. Prioritizing underprivileged athletes who have never had a professional photo taken.
